We invite passionate middle school science educators to join our team! Stallworth Charter School is committed to supporting new teachers through our credentialing program. Become part of our close-knit community, which serves around 260 students from transitional kindergarten to 8th grade. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who prioritize children's learning within our modified Professional Learning Community (PLC). Our goal is to transform science education into engaging, project-based, and hands-on experiences that enhance student achievement. Our caring and inclusive environment aims to nurture the whole child. Teacher candidates should be adept at building relationships with students to foster a positive learning atmosphere, effectively managing classrooms to engage learners, utilizing technology proficiently, welcoming feedback from administrators, pursuing professional development, and collaborating as a team. The school provides tailored, on-demand professional development focused on student performance, behavioral management, social development, physical health, and evidence-based progress tracking. Candidates must be capable of lesson preparation, utilizing curriculum materials, researching improved curricula for monitoring progress, and addressing individual needs for effective project-based learning. Additionally, candidates should be committed to becoming assessment literate, understanding the significance of various formative and summative assessment practices. Above all, we are dedicated to supporting novice teachers who are passionate about their students and the field of science, helping them to reach their full professional potential. Requirements / Qualifications
We are searching for individuals that hold or are pursuing a California Single Subject in Science. If you enjoy small groups, try this family-oriented institution to grow and get to know students while also making a difference in their lives.
Basic Requirements: Preferred: Single Subject Credential in Science. Will accept the candidate if they are fully involved in a credentialing program if not completely certified (must provide proof that you are in a program), and meet with the principal or leading credentialing coach on a regular basis to remain employed. Eligibility for internship is required or a preliminary certificate, or a California Clear Teaching Credential. Must be physically capable of lifting approximately 20 pounds and moving around freely.
