PILOT PROGRAM TEACHER Competent Learner Model Program (CLM) • Specialized Special Education teaching position available • Extra training required and provided by district • Lynwood Middle School • After 3 years of training, teacher will be qualified to become a “Certified CLM Coach” ( A certified coach can implement the CLM Program in Lynwood classrooms and at the direction of the district in other districts ) BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the direction of the principal, or his/her designee, the certificated teacher works closely with the assisting principal and external Behaviorist CLM Coaches to pilot a new Special Ed. Program, intergrading all services offered in the classroom setting. CREDENTIAL: Education Specialist Instruction Credential: Moderate/Severe Disabilities. Mild/Moderate and/or Clear Learning Handicapped Specialist + Autism Spectrum Disorders Authorization ELL AUTHORIZATION MUST MEET ESEA HIGHLY QUALIFIED TEACHER REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Earned Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution. Successful completion of the CLM Academy and completion of CLM course of study units (CLM Program Introduction through Unit 5) prior to the start of the 2018-19 school year. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of successful teaching experience, demonstrating exemplary teaching skill and classroom leadership. PERSONAL QUALITIES: Proven willingness to accept new concepts and training, adhere to program requirements, work as a part of a classroom team and with professional coaches to gain new understanding and program delivery skills.
