POSITION DESCRIPTION: The position of Site Manager II is responsible for physical and emotional well-being of children by utilizing proper child development education practices and techniques. The position is also responsible for staff supervision and parent involvement in the educational programs at several sites. The position is designated as a Certificated Management position under the general supervision of the program coordinator or director and is part of the management Leadership Team. This is a categorically funded position, funded on a year to year basis. Please see job description for a list of job functions and minimum qualifications. The following documents are required upon hire: Valid CA Driver's License, Fingerprint Clearance, TB Clearance, Bachelor’s degree. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience in a child development program required; and a minimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in a child development/child center program that would demonstrate the ability to perform described duties and responsibilities of the position or one (1) year teaching, one (1) year lead teaching, and (1) year administrative experience. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, human development, liberal studies, or childhood development Master’s degree desirable. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: Possession of a valid California Credential/Permit, authorizing multiple site supervision of Child Development Centers or Administrative Services Credential. Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for: Child Development Program Director Permit. You must provide copies of permit/credential as required for the position with your application materials.
