We also have preschools co-located at our six elementary sites. We have various theme based schools: Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM. San Mateo-Foster City is seeking Montessori teachers trained to work with three to six year olds, six to nine year olds, and nine to twelve year olds in a public Montessori magnet program. Qualifications: Montessori teaching credential and experience (preferred) or willingness to obtain Montessori credential within 3 years. Education: *Montessori Credential (preferred) *Valid California Multi-Subject Teaching Credential *CLAD certification Knowledge of: *Montessori philosophy *Developmental stages of the elementary and/or adolescent child *Montessori lessons and materials for the age level for which applying *California Contact Standards Experience: Five years teaching in a Montessori elementary / upper elementary / adolescent program (preferred) *Experience with Special Needs, English Learners and Low Socio-Economic Students Salary:$54,964-$86,888 $1,500 stipend for MA $1,500 stipend for DR 10 days paid sick leave Fully paid medical/dental for employee!
