Clinical Procedure Nurse (Substitute) at Washoe County School District - NV
Requirements / Qualifications
Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be: 1. Education: Equivalent to a high school diploma and Licensed Practical or Registered Nurse degree from an accredited school of nursing; AND 2. Experience: Three (3) years recent hospital, home health or community health as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse is desirable. Knowledge of: Nursing functions and procedures according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by Nevada State Board of Nursing; and Healthcare Provider CPR. Skill at: Licensed nursing services for students in an education-based setting; handling emergency situations with sound health care decisions and according to the individual student health care plan; ability to communicate and work cooperatively with Clinical School Nurses and other regular and ancillary school personnel using tact, patience and diplomacy; learning the policies and procedures related to Student Health Services Department; recognizing hazards and applying safe work methods; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Licenses/Certificates: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Nevada driver license with a driving record acceptable to the District. Licensed by the Nevada State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse, or as a Registered Nurse with a two- or four-year degree. Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
