PRIMARY FUNCTION: To develop and implement technology training programs to equip certificated staff to implement the Common Core State Standards. To lead in the integration of teaching and learning with embedded technology based media tools. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Identifies district certificated staff technology training needs related to the implementation of the Common Core Standards. Designs, implements and develops a comprehensive staff development plan for district teachers and administrators incorporating a variety of staff development models and situations such as small groups, whole school and one-on-one coaching. Designs and integrates new, emerging technologies into staff development programs as they become available with an emphasis on integration into the school curriculum as a viable instructional, communication and productivity tool. Assists the Technology Services Department staff in providing an integrated approach to technology in the district. Helps reviews and develop district technology policy as needed. Leads district level committees related to technology and its relation to state standards, curriculum and instruction. Participates in professional growth activities to increase CCSS based uses of technology and staff development expertise. Researches, networks with and promotes out-of-district staff development opportunities. Provides technical assistance as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate elementary teaching credential as required by the State of California. Five years successful teaching experience as a classroom teacher and technology user for technology embedded instruction and learning. Demonstrate leadership, presentation and organizational abilities. Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of Operating Systems (including Apple OS, Windows 8, etc.), as well as new computer, video, communication and web-based technologies. DESIREABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish. Experience teaching in a Blended Learning Environment. Knowledgeable in teaching and integrating digital citizenship into curriculum. Current on new instructional technologies and their use in the classroom and willingness to continue to learn additional instructional technologies. Knowledgeable in the NETS (National Education Technology Standards) for Coaches. Staff development experience.
