Requirements / Qualifications
DSUSD will recommend qualified (non-credentialed) applicants to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for the issuance of a 30-Day Substitute Permit.
Official Transcripts are only needed if you do not have a California Teaching Credential or if applying for the first time for a 30 Day Substitute Permit.
- Copy of Transcript (If first time applying for credential, Official transcript in a sealed envelope reflecting the Bachelor Degree is required. DO NOT OPEN sealed envelope. Insert a placeholder stating "I will bring in official transcripts")
- Credential Copy (Non-credentialed applicants may insert a placeholder stating "I will apply for a 30-day substitute permit via DSUSD")
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Letters of Recommendation)
- Resume
- Test Results/Materials (CBEST Test Results)
