Under general direction of the Dean of Student Success and Support, Counseling Programs, or appropriate administrator, the Director of Student Success and Support plans, organizes, coordinates and manages the staff and activities of the Student Success and Support Programs. The Director works with other administrators, faculty, counselors, student services staff and appropriate District committees to assist in maintaining and improving the District's implementation of the Student Success and Support Program requirements, processes and procedures. Major duties include planning and implementing department procedures, training and supervision of staff and assigning job duties. This is an administrative position, exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, with responsibility for formulation and recommendation of district policies, regulations and budget decisions related to the area of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A Master's degree; AND One (1) year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrator's assignment; AND Two (2) years of professional experience in a Student Services area; AND Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State and institutional programs Effective oral and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage financial resources with a record of fiscal responsibility and accountability Demonstrated advocacy for students and student needs
