The preschool teacher establishes a faith-filled environment, demonstrates leadership and knowledge of content, and facilitates learning for students without specific direction using considerable judgment. The preschool teacher supervises and accepts responsibility for the safety and well-being of each child. The preschool program runs M-F for four-year olds in preparation for Kindergarten. Three-year old children may join the preschool for two or three days a week starting in January of each year. General Responsibilities: Among other responsibilities, the preschool teacher is expected to 1. lead daily prayer 2. maintain effective classroom management 3. confer with preschool director in planning and development of curriculum 4. plan instruction 5. organize and prepare resources 6. evaluate student work 7. communicate professionally and in a timely manner with pastor, principal, preschool director, colleagues, parents, and students 8.
