The job of Director of Educational Technology and Information Services was established for the purpose/s of implementing the district's educational technology plan; integrating technology into the curriculum and teaching practices; providing recommendations regarding potential software application purchases; monitoring the effectiveness of technology and providing technology training. This job reports to the Assistant Superintendent. Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible technology experience. Education: Bachelor degree in a field related to information technology; a Master's degree is desirable. Requirements for applying:

Our community supports and appreciates the educational program which includes academic and vocational programs, including an outstanding agriculture program, award winning Health Careers Pathway, and Media Technology Pathway. The Primary School and Pauma School offer pre-school programs and all elementary schools offer transitional kindergarten programs. Valley Center Elementary School is located near the Boys and Girls Club which has before and after school programs for students. VC Prep and Oak Glen offer alternative education options including online courses and individualized learning opportunities. Known for being cutting-edge with technology, every student from grades 3 - 9 have an iPad checked out to them for school and home use. All grades 10 - 12 English classes have an iPad for every student during class time and all schools have computer labs and laptop carts.
