This is a supervisory position and part of the leadership team overseeing all aspects of the disabilities service area of the Head Start Program. Coordinates disabilities programs to ensure compliance with federal Performance Standards; acts as a resource to director, service area plan team staff, teachers, parents and students involved in the Head Start Program. Position requires a Bachelor's degree with major coursework in any of the following areas: Child Development, Special Education, Education, Child Psychology or closely related fields. Three years of teaching experience with special needs students or providing direct special education services to children and families. Desired: *Leadership experience and skills, direct Head Start experience and knowledge of performance, standards regulations. *Bilingual/Biliterate- English/Spanish *Experience working with student assessments or other case management team.
