• Prior successful instructional and curriculum experience with K-8 students is desirable; • Evidence of effective organizational and garden management skills; • Evidence of effective and appropriate oral and written communication skills; • Effective skills and knowledge in growing and maintaining a production garden/nursery; • Ability to safely lift objects and supplies that weigh up to 40 pounds; • Mobility skills that allow the person to safely manage and maintain a large production garden; • Must pass state required background and finger print clearances, possess a valid California driver's license, and possess up-to-date TB clearance.

          Garden Coordinator TK-8 School District Public School: TK-1st, Harmony Elementary Charter School: 2nd-8th, Salmon Creek Charter Placed-Based Learning School District Harmony Union School District consists of two schools that share a campus, Harmony Elementary (TK-1st) and Salmon Creek A Charter School (2"d-8th). Our 56-acre property is located in picturesque Occidental, CA. The edges of our campus are made up of soaring redwoods, trails, and a year-round creek that are perfect for exploration and learning. Our campus is 20 minutes from the Pacific Ocean and an hour north of San Francisco in beautiful West Sonoma County. Our educators are passionate, creative, forward-thinking, and collaborative. Our District also has a large educational organic garden, which serves as the basis for our Farm to School curriculum and supplies some of our fresh produce for the school lunch program.
