Adventures in Writing Camp is seeking experienced classroom art teachers to help rising 2nd – 5th grade campers design, illustrate (crayons & colored pencils), and publish eBooks using iPads.

Over the course of the two-week camp, campers will write, illustrate, and publish e-Books (see http://library.aiwcamp.com/  for examples.) As an e-Book Ranger, you are responsible for guiding campers through the process of designing, illustrating, and assembling their eBooks using the iPad app, “Book Creator.”  The e-Book Ranger’s colleague, the Writing Ranger, will be working with students to write the stories that will be published in the e-Book Rangers class.  Each day, the e-Book Ranger will teach four 50-minute sessions to all four grade-level groups.

The e-Book Ranger will have 30 minutes of morning prep-time to prepare your lessons and to collaborate with the Writing Ranger.  The Writing Ranger is responsible for helping campers brainstorm, draft, write, and polish their stories, while the e-Book Ranger is responsible for turning it into a polished eBook.  Though we provide the e-Book Ranger with materials and lesson plans to lead his/her sessions, we aim to empower the e-Book Ranger to add his/her own flair and personality to really make these lessons pop
