THE INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT JOB FAIR is scheduled for Saturday, July 14, 2018, and is designed for candidates interested in employment as Instructional Assistants with the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE). On July 14, 2018, registered candidates will be tested and/or interviewed for Instructional Assistant positions.
Please register for the Job Fair by submitting an online application by July 2, 2018 and submitting copies of your qualifying documents. Please refer to the job descriptions below for the documents needed. Once you have submitted your online application and qualifying documents, you will be contacted via email to schedule an examination. Some of these positions may require bilingual proficiency in either Spanish or Vietnamese. Thus, individuals with this skill set are encouraged to apply.

• Fluency in English and a second language (Spanish or Vietnamese) as specified by the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
• Six (6) units in infant/toddler development.
• CPR and First Aid Certifications.
We highly encourage you to register for the fair by submitting an online application July 2, 2018 and submitting copies of your qualifying documents, (please refer to the job descriptions above for clarification on documents needed). Once you have submitted your qualifying documents, you will be contacted via email to schedule an examination. After completing all requirements and passing the examination, you will be registered for the fair. Interviews will take place on site the day of the fair for those who have registered and passed the exam.

The fair is an opportunity for those who seek instructional assistant employment with the Santa Clara County Office of Education. School site administrators and representatives will come to this central location for a day of focused interaction with candidates. At any given time, we typically have several positions available throughout Santa Clara County. Our principals and school site representatives are eager to meet and discuss current open positions with you.
IS REGISTRATION REQUIRED?
We will accept walk-ins the day of the fair. However, by completing the pre-registration process, you will be eligible for an onsite interview and for priority entrance at 9:00 a.m.
WHAT IF I MISS THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION?
Walk-ins are welcome! You will need to bring copies of your qualifying documents for review. We will review your documents and potentially schedule you for an examination.

If you have already taken the NCLB exam with the Santa Clara County Office of Education, please forward your NCLB certificate, or qualifying notification, for review and we will contact you about your eligibility.
