Clerical Assistant / Resource Teacher at Fallbrook Child Development Center
Requirements / Qualifications
This position is a member of the office team and teaching team. Qualifications and skill requirements include: • Strong computer skills ; spreadsheet skills/experience (must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel) • Excellent organizational and advanced office skills • Ability to prioritize and manage changing workload • Detail oriented • Correct English and Spanish usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary • Translate English to Spanish (written and verbal) • Keep all family/children information confidential • Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. • Must possess Child Development Permit; (50% of position is coverage in classrooms) • Interact with parents as member of a teaching team Essential types of duties: Duties may include but are not limited to the following: Performs a variety of office support, clerical, and routine secretarial duties in childcare setting, including enrolling/certifying families for state funded program. Learns and interprets specific policies, rules and regulations applicable to child development laws and regulations (Title V &Title 22) ; analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action. Provides word processing and data entry support in various data entry programs; maintains a variety of accurate and up-to-date files and records. Provides information and assistance to families, staff, and the public. Assists teachers/aides in the classroom as a substitute / floater and is responsible for the welfare, health and safety of the children in the group. Communicates with each parent by reporting daily activities, progress or problems and needs of their child while in teacher role.
You will be required to submit upon hire proof of: • Influenza (flu), Pertussis (TDaP), and measles (MMR) immunizations. • CPR/ First Aid certification • California Mandated Reporter Training Please attach the following documents:
