Special Education Teacher - Mild to Moderate Description: South Pasadena Nonpublic School seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher for an Elementary or Middle School classroom who is looking to make a difference in the lives of students. The Teacher will be responsible for a special day class and provide instruction to students in all academic subjects using designated curriculum and differentiated instruction to reinforce learning to meet students' varying needs and interests, implementing behavior management techniques, including ongoing feedback to students, and supervising and training Teacher Associates and One on One Aides. The Almansor Academy, under The Institute for the Redesign of Learning, provides basic education and related services to children with learning, language, developmental, behavioral and emotional needs. Requirements: Must have a Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential or be intern eligible from an accredited academic institution. Preferred candidates will have experience working with students that have exhibited emotional or behavior issues. Must have passed the CSET, or other highly qualified exam. Additional experience in special education is highly desirable.
