REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES: • Valid Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility • ECE/Child Development Units & Experience (preferred) • Prior job related experience • Strong interpersonal skills and marked relationship building character traits • Ability to work as a team member with staff, parents and community • Marked Leadership skills DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supports the efforts of the site administration in implementing the district approved early childhood education programs in grades Preschool through Transitional Kindergarten (depending on credential type) • Coordinates the district early childhood education program events • Evaluates program effectiveness through various assessment methods • Innovates to foster an engaging learning environment and promote student achievement • Provides training to and coordinates professional learning activities for certificated and classified staff • Participates in professional development activities to enhance leadership skills and keeps abreast of the latest in curricular and instructional methods as related to early childhood education • Facilitates and oversees early childhood education legal requirements • Coordinates and chairs various meeting and activities • Develops proposals and grants for the purpose of implementing new programs
