Join a community of like-minded professionals as a full-time Spanish teacher at Notre Dame Academy in West Los Angeles. NDA seeks a candidate who:

  • is a gifted teacher of Spanish language and can teach multiple levels through AP;
  • relies on frequent and varied assessment methods to gauge student progress and provide feedback;
  • offers a strong background in Spanish language teaching and culture;
  • enjoys the freedom and support to develop innovative teaching strategies;
  • is willing to collaborate with other teachers within and beyond the department in our professional learning community;
  • models growth mindset;
  • is sensitive to an academically, socially, culturally, and ethnically diverse, all-girl population;
  • has at least 4 years’ experience teaching high school Spanish;
  • has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Master's a plus;
  • has a teaching credential—desirable;
  • knows current trends in foreign language education (experience with ACTFL guidelines, CI, or TPRS a plus);
  • has traveled internationally with students;
  • can also teach French, a plus.
