Join a community of like-minded professionals as a full-time Spanish teacher at Notre Dame Academy in West Los Angeles. NDA seeks a candidate who:
- is a gifted teacher of Spanish language and can teach multiple levels through AP;
- relies on frequent and varied assessment methods to gauge student progress and provide feedback;
- offers a strong background in Spanish language teaching and culture;
- enjoys the freedom and support to develop innovative teaching strategies;
- is willing to collaborate with other teachers within and beyond the department in our professional learning community;
- models growth mindset;
- is sensitive to an academically, socially, culturally, and ethnically diverse, all-girl population;
- has at least 4 years’ experience teaching high school Spanish;
- has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Master's a plus;
- has a teaching credential—desirable;
- knows current trends in foreign language education (experience with ACTFL guidelines, CI, or TPRS a plus);
- has traveled internationally with students;
- can also teach French, a plus.
