          Comments and Other Information

          The assistant to the head reports to the head is responsible for all issues relating to at the school, as delegated by the head of school. These include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following areas: To prepare agenda for faculty meetings with consultation by the head of school. To schedule the head’s appointments and meetings. To handle the head’s correspondence and general correspondence to parent body. To prepare the head’s weekly memoranda. To screen the head’s telephone calls and messages. To sort the head’s mail and prepare response (when necessary). Maintains and updates standard letters. To maintain family, faculty, and various databases. Maintains teacher absence file. To serve as a member of the Admissions Council. To serve as a member of the Professional Growth Committee. To serve as a member of the Vision and Mission Committee To serve as a member of the Administrative and Academic Committees To serve with the head school in Advancement meetings. To be present at Advancement Events as requested by head. To represent the head at Athletic Booster meetings in the head’s absence. To maintain Professional Growth request file and professional growth reports manual (2019). To serve as a Varsity Head Coach for at least one season of sport To prepare and edit, with the head’s supervision, the Parent/Student, Athletic and Employee Handbooks To prepare the Parent Directory ? To assume responsibility for special research and other projects for the head ? To perform other duties as assigned by the head of school ? To support the school and its leadership Qualifications Excellent communication skills Able to multitask and excellent organizational skills Word, Excel, Outlook Problem solving skills Able to work some weekends and evenings Excellent attention to detail, grammar and spelling
