Instructs adult students in Diagnostic Coding (ICD10), Procedural Coding, Medical Billing, and Anatomy & Physiology for Coders by using various teaching methods such as lecture and demonstration, and uses audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations. Prepares course objectives and outlines for course of study, following curriculum guidelines for the adult school. Assigns lessons and corrects homework. Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress. Keeps attendance records. Maintains discipline in classroom. Meets with students to discuss progress and problems. Identifies and secures externship opportunities for students in the medical billing and coding field. Appropriate teaching credential required.
