Requirements / Qualifications
Mariposa Elementary, located in southern Redlands, is a school rich with traditions and history. Recognized for its high academic achievement, it has twice been named a California Distinguished School. The campus is known for its beautiful garden-like environment. The school’s murals highlight Mariposa’s emphasis on the arts including annual musicals in the primary grades. The PTA and staff are true partners at the school. Both work diligently together to offer many enriching opportunities for students like a twice weekly Running Club, a Garden Club, a school Chorus, and afterschool enrichment opportunities. It is a school were families are welcome and are encouraged to be active in the site’s daily life. Parent involvement is such that PTO Magazine named Mariposa’s PTA as the national “Parent Group of the Year” in 2013. Required Education: M.A. or M.S. Required Experience: Minimum of four years credentialed service. Desirable Experience: Five or more years of teaching and administrative experience at the elementary school level.
