Do not contact Human Resources regarding this posting, as it may slow down our process. The next New Hire Substitute Orientations are scheduled for May 3, 2018 & May 17, 2018. If you have filled out the online application and attached the required documents you will receive an email invitation to the New Hire Substitute Orientation no later than April 25, 2018 for the May 3, 2018 orientation & May 11, 2018 for the May 17, 2018 orientation Requirements for Applying, All of the documents specified below must be attached to your application in order to be invited to our new hire orientation and be considered for employment. If you have not attached all the required documentation you will not receive an email invitation to the substitute new hire orientation . Materials - on line application at edjoin.org - Current valid California teaching credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit. - Copy of unofficial transcripts (BA/BS degree; copies of front and back) - California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) verification - Verification of "Clearing House" fingerprints through Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE). If you have not completed the fingerprints through VCOE, please contact them at 805-383-1914 for fees. (copy of receipt) - Tuberculosis (TB) test verification (no more than 4 years old) - Resume Upon being hired as a Substitute Teacher you will be asked to complete the Mandated Reporter Training and the Armatus (online sexual harassment training), if you have already completed these two training's feel free to attach them to your online application.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CREDENTIAL AND NEED TO APPLY FOR A 30-DAY SUBSTITUTE TEACHER PERMIT, YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT VCOE (Ventura County Office of Education)at (805)383-1934. In order to be placed on our sub-list you will need to already have a valid credential or 30-day sub permit.

  • Credential Copy (30-day Bub Credential or Teaching Credential)
  • Other (Verification of "Clearing House" fingerprints through Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE))
  • Resume
  • TB Screening Result (TB has to be within the last 4 years)
  • Test Results/Materials (CBEST Scores)
