Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of an Associate’s degree and a combination of courses and training equivalent to graduation from college with a focus in the related areas of Food & Nutrition Services/Management, Dietetics, Family and Consumer Sciences, Nutrition Education, Culinary Arts or Business Administration. Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the area of Nutrition or Food Services including supervision or any combination of training and/or experience that could provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Food & Nutrition Services Administration experience in a California public school district is preferred. Food Service Managers Certification. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License. Knowledge of principles and practices of California public school food and nutrition services, operations and facilities requirements for food services; budget; management techniques, including development, planning and supervising; applicable sections of the California Education Code, Government code of the Federal, State and local laws and regulations and reporting requirements; Board policies, employee agreements; computer applications and systems; food and nutrition services reporting requirements.
