Employer: Alameda County Office of Education Date Posted: 7/30/2019 Contact: Shaun McElroy Number Openings: (At time of posting) 20 Length of Work Year: 2019-2020 School Year Employment Type: Part Time Application Deadline: Until Filled Salary: Stipend of $3,000 per participating administrator coached/mentored LEADERSHIP COACH JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Director of Leadership Development, the Leadership Coach will provide coach service and support to school leaders participating in the ACSA Clear Administrative Credential Program. Leadership Coaches regularly collaborate with the credential candidate to set goals and determine action steps grounded in the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders. Leadership Coaches use Evocative coaching strategies and skills to assist credential candidates to master the Six CPSEL's and develop complex skills necessary for effective educational leaders. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Under the direction of the Director of Leadership Development, review general administrator requirements and proficiencies for CPSEL with candidate; collaborate on formative assessments (Self-Assessment Summary, Mid-year Review, and Professional Growth Reflections); plan, develop, monitor, and revise as needed the Individual Induction Plan. - Maintain the integrity and the confidentiality of his/her work with the candidate. - Provide one-on-one support to candidate through coaching sessions, email, and phone contact. - Schedule and attend regular coaching activities and meetings. - Prepare and maintain records of coaching sessions.

- Attend, participate and conduct a variety of meetings as assigned: orientation, coaching sessions, observations, exit interview, etc. - Serve as the principle contact and liaison between the candidate and program. - Stay current on educational research and demonstrate knowledge of 2014 California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSEL), school/district office administrative procedures and operations, federal and state accountability systems, instructional practices, research and trends in education. - Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. - Work independently and varied hours at multiple work locations. - Ability to work collaboratively/cooperatively and develop effective lines of communication with all members of the team, program personnel, school/district staff, and outside agencies. This includes working directly and first with the candidate to resolve issues that may occur in the coaching relationship. - Participate in the California Network of Leadership Coaches (CNET) training. - Participate in annual program evaluation and improvement processes - Perform related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: - Demonstrated successful experience as a lead learner, supervision, evaluation, curriculum, instruction, collaboration, and school climate and culture - Minimum of 4 full school years of site based administrative experience - Current Clear California Administrative Services Credential - Foundational training in ACSA Leadership Coaching - Willingness to earn and maintain ACSA Leadership Coach Certification - Demonstrated commitment to personal professional growth and learning - Valid CA Driver License - Resume - If selected, have a one-page bio with picture ready to submit
