Bachelors Degree in Chinese Studies, Mandarin or a related field. California Teaching Credential is preferred, but not required. If applicant does not have a California Secondary Teaching Credential, applicant must have teaching experience. Servite High School is a Roman Catholic, leadership preparatory high school for young men. Servite enjoys a 23:1 student/teacher ratio and is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
This is a full time position well-suited for a motivated individual who is passionate about Mandarin and Chinese Literature and Writing (Chinese Studies). The candidate chosen will develop and get approved the AP Mandarin course for the 2018-19 academic year and will need to attend an AP conference over the summer. The successful applicant will also demonstrate an ability to embrace and understand the private Catholic school environment and be able to utilize Mandarin/Chinese Studies to form young men into faith-filled leaders.
