JOB SUMMARY: Under direction of the Director of Student Services, the TOSA-PBIS will plan, develop, organize, and support the professional development needs of site-based PBIS teams, counselors, teachers and site administrators in implementing PBIS strategies and tiers of support with fidelity for students at a school site. The TOSA-PBIS will work with consultants and trainers to provide the most up to date information and support as they implement the district PBIS interventions. The TOSA-PBIS will work directly with school personnel to design tiered behavior interventions including functional behavior support plans for students. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid CA Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services Credential. Knowledge of PBIS and behavior assessments to improve teacher and student learning; principles, theories, methods, techniques, and strategies pertaining to behavioral interventions; PBIS and tiered systems of support; socio-economic and cultural background differences of the school population; students with disabilities and English learner strategies to eliminate the achievement gap between sub groups. Ability to communicate and interact with people effectively; plan, organize, develop and conduct comprehensive assessments and coordinate the development of action plans based on data; expertise in data systems and data analysis perform research and development activities pertaining to PBIS designed to enhance student educational opportunities and experiences; work autonomously; and demonstrate good judgment and problem solving skills.

New employee orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 15th. First teacher work day is August 17, 2018.
