The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Executive Director, Equity in Learning and Leadership Services Division. The position will report to the Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Leadership Services. The job of the Executive Director, Equity is done for the purpose/s of partnering with stakeholders to create instructional environments that support academic rigor, access, cultural relevance, and relationships that ignite the potential of each and every student as the norm; working to build the capacity of leaders to create inclusive environments that honor every student’s ability, race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, language, and sexual orientation, thus ensuring every student is skilled and able to be globally competitive in a culturally rich society and macro economy; developing and implementing county-wide education, outreach, and training initiatives to promote and sustain a climate of diversity, inclusion, equity, and respect. CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: CA Administrative Services Credential CA Teaching Credential Valid CA Driver’s License EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in site- and district-level settings, including supervisory or administrative responsibilities involving the improvement of educational programs. Experience leading equity, diversity, inclusion, and/or cultural competency initiatives required. Education: A master’s degree in educational leadership or directly related field. Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to: a master’s degree in educational leadership or related field, five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in site- and district-level settings, including supervisory or administrative responsibilities involving the improvement of educational programs. Experience leading equity, diversity, inclusion, and/or cultural competency initiatives required.
