Shasta Family YMCA Job Opportunity Afterschool Child Care Group Leaders North Cottonwood School The Shasta Family YMCA is seeking applicants for Child Care Group Leaders at our Afterschool Child Care Program at North Cottonwood School. These are part-time positions, Monday through Friday, from approximately 1:30pm to 6:00pm, hours will vary, approx. 20 hours per week. Pay rate starts at $11.00-$11.50 per hour. Complimentary family YMCA membership included, as well as discounts on programs. Retirement eligibility potential after 2 years, we currently contribute 12%. Group Leaders provide supervision and positive guidance for school-aged children, cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and parents, create and maintain a safe and attractive learning environment, and assist in maintaining all records. Qualified applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have experience and a general passion for working with school age children, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be highly safety oriented, be highly attentive, and be able to control and maintain a group of children. North Cottonwood applicants must be able to pass Paraprofessional Exam or provide proof of 48 college CEUs within 90-days. Final candidate will be required to pass a DOJ Criminal Record Clearance, and provide proof of immunizations (MMR, TDaP), TB and health screen within 7 days of employment.
