Job Description / Essential Elements:    Print   

The successful candidate will be able to instruct and coach students in the sport indicated. The candidate will also help arrange playing schedules and perform all coaching responsibilities associated with the position.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must meet the requirements listed below:

 

1. Have badminton coaching or playing experience.

 

2. Never have been removed, or resigned in lieu of removal, from a coaching position for any reason.

 

3. Possess valid, unexpired CPR and First Aid cards and either proof of f completion of a college level course in the care/prevention of athletic injuries or possess a valid EMT I or II card. A valid sports injury certificate is also acceptable to fulfill part of this requirement.

 

4. Successful completion of the CIF Coaches Education Course, or written evidence indicating knowledge of the coaching theory and techniques in the sport. (Evidence can be college course work, prior coaching experience in the sport, prior participation in the sport at the high school level, or in-service training provided by a school district).

 

 

All employment offers will be contingent upon: 

 

1. The candidate supplying a written statement from a licensed physician indicating freedom from tuberculosis and any other contagious disease.

 

2. A background check including fingerprinting to meet Ed. Code requirements regarding a candidate’s fitness to coach.
