About the Employer
The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County’s most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 475,000 students. In addition to providing direct instruction to students through its own alternative and special education programs, OCDE administers an array of programs and services that are critical to the operations of local school districts and community colleges, facilitating professional development, legal guidance, payroll, career and technical education support, high-speed internet access, Local Control and Accountability Plan assistance and approval, resources for families, and student enrichment. OCDE’s vision is that “Orange County students will lead the nation in college and career readiness and success.” Department staff are working to achieve this goal in collaboration with educators at all levels of student development, from early childhood through higher education, and in partnership with families, businesses and community organizations.

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) will be hosting a career fair on: Date: Saturday, March 24, 2018 Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Location: 200 Kalmus Drive, Costa Mesa; Building A- Boardroom We have currently reached full capacity for registration. If you are interested in attending, please email me the week of March 19 for available time slots based on cancellations at: anieves@ocde.us The following school districts are confirmed to attend: Anaheim Elementary SD, Anaheim Union High SD, Centralia SD, Irvine Unified SD, Laguna Beach Unified SD, Lowell Joint SD, Newport Mesa Unified SD, North Orange County ROP, Ocean View SD, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified SD, Savanna SD, Westminster SD, and the Orange County Department of Education. Districts looking for applicants for the following areas: Teachers (Multiple and Single Subject), Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe), Speech and Language Professionals, Instructional Assistants/Paraeducators (General Education and Special Education), Clerical Support staff, and custodial/operational support.
If you are interested in attending, please register for one of the following time blocks. Due to maximum room capacity limitations, participants will be checked in during their registered time block. Please note, your assigned time block will be identified in your confirmation email and it may be a more specific time frame within the window block.
