About Da Vinci Schools We are a thriving non-profit network of free, public charter schools open to all students in California. Da Vinci Schools operate five high schools, a unique elementary model combining homeschool with on-campus instruction, and a post-secondary pathway leading to college degree completion. Single subject Mathematics teaching credential required. Currently accepting applications for a Mathematics teaching position for the 2019-2020 school year at Da Vinci Communications. Da Vinci Schools are project-based, college preparatory schools, each with a distinct focus which drives the curriculum students take in addition to their A-G college preparatory requirements. As a project-based school, class curricula are centered around projects, which teach students the essential skills and knowledge of a course. Da Vinci teachers use Mastery Based Grading and work with industry partners to provide real-world connections to their projects. This position will likely teach 11th graders Geometry and Pre-Calculus, but the ability and desire to teach Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, or Precalculus is a requirement. Looking for candidates who desire to: • Work closely with a grade level team to plan interdisciplinary projects and units • Create and implement a project-based curriculum • Connect student work to the world outside the classroom • Act as an advisor to a group of students
