CAMPUS MONITOR
DEFINITION:
To ensure a safe school campus for students. To monitor luncheon and playground activities on an individual and group basis.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Receives general supervision from the principal, to include training in supervision techniques and written school rules and regulations.
Exercises no supervision of adults or other employees.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Assists with supervision of lunch students.
Supervises the general playground/campus facilities, during non-instructional periods of the day.
Monitors the assignments, distribution, and collection of playground equipment.
May monitor students changing for P.E.
Compiles and/or assembles P.E. equipment for the P.E. class
Assisting teachers in supervising students during play periods
Maintain loaner clothes including washing, drying, inventoring, distributing and collecting.
Maintain record of students receiving loner clother
Inventory and upkeep of equipment
Supports district priorities for a safe and clean campus: e.g. cleaning up spills on tables and floors; picking up trash as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
ON MINIMUM DAYS:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Increase duties to ensure a clean campus; e.g. sweep walkways, scrub picnic tables, clean
storage areas and P.E. asphalt area, etc.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
School rules, practice, and safety procedures.
Group games, rules, and regulations.
Techniques and methods of child supervision.
Ability to:
Learn school rules and regulations.
Understand written and oral directions.
Work effectively in the absence of supervision.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Some experience working with children in a supervised environment is desirable.
Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Passage of approved district written test.
Successfully complete an oral interview.
Possess an appropriate valid California Drivers License
Fingerprint Clearance

Driver's License--a copy of a valid CA driver's license Proof of HS Graduation-- a copy from high school graduation, GED, or higher degree (AA, BA, etc) MUST BE ATTACHED

Minimum Requirements: Graduation from high school, GED, or higher degree, possession of an appropriate valid Ca. Driver's License, fingerprint clearance and TB certificate (at time of hire), passage of approved district written test, successfully complete an oral interview.
