Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) is located in Santa Clara County. Palo Alto Unified is consistently ranked as one of the top districts in the United States and in California with regard to student performance.  For instance, Palo Alto High School is ranked third in the top 10 high schools in California.  The district is comprised of 19 schools total:  13 elementary, 3 middle, 2 high and 1 alternative school. We have both a Mandarin and Spanish bilingual immersion program. The district is geographically located next to Stanford University and serves the children of employees of Stanford University and the Silicon Valley more broadly.  The district serves a socioeconomically and culturally diverse student population in part because of the city of Palo Alto is a global center of learning and technology, in addition to an intra-district transfer program that enables students from the neighboring Ravenswood (in East Palo Alto) to attend PAUSD schools.  The district's proximity to Stanford sometimes enables psychologists and interns the opportunity to collaborate with Stanford Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Lucille Packard Children's Hospital, and the Children's Health Council.  As well, the district is very supportive of continuing education and professional development for its staff and there are great opportunities in these areas. Currently there is no district funding available for a second year interns; however, we welcome applications. The district will provide a stipend to 3^rd year students.
