Piner-Olivet Union School District Job Description FOOD SERVICE WORKER I The Food Service Worker I is under the supervision of the Supervisor of Food Services and evaluated by the Site Administrator. The Food Service Worker performs tasks that result in meals being served to students and staff who are participating in the District’s Food Service Program. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: * High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge of: * Basic food serving techniques and safe food temperatures * Clean sanitary conditions Ability to: * Exercise good judgment, use discretion, work independently and maintain confidentiality * Use safety precautions around hot ovens * Deal effectively with children, staff and parents ADA Requirement: * Meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform assigned duties, including lifting thirty (30) pounds on an occasional basis and occasionally lifting in excess of thirty (30) pounds with assistance EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Collect classroom orders and compile daily school lunch count * Data entry into the electronic attendance system * Serve breakfasts and track students and/or staff receiving breakfasts * Heat and serve lunches and track students and/or staff receiving lunches * Order sack lunches for field trips and minimum days * Clean spills on serving tables, put away supplies and condiments and pick up food, supplies and condiments that have fallen on the floor * Follow accepted principles, practices, rules, and regulations of the district * Other related duties as assigned PAY SCALE – CLASSIFIED: 2003-2004 – Range 6 The Piner-Olivet Union School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer | |
