Under the general supervision of the Director of Special Education, provide psychological services to schools, including testing, counseling and consulting to assist in meeting the social, emotional and educational needs of students in regular and special education programs being serviced by the Mendocino County Office of Education; administer and interpret psychological assessments of students; prepare recommendations regarding the evaluation and placements of students; consult with teachers, administrators, specialists, agency and district personnel and parents; counsel students; coordinate behavior management programs; and perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possess a valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential with School Psychology authorization; • A Master of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in educational psychology; • One (1) year unsupervised work as a school psychologist; • At least one (1) year experience working in schools and background in special education programs; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; • Provide proof of automobile insurability; • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance.

This will provide coverage for the employee, their spouse and eligible dependents. Employee will be a member of the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) and may elect to become a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees.
