The Phillips Academy (formerly, The Children's Learning Center) is seeking an experienced, licensed therapist to provide mental health services to students attending a non-public school. We are looking for a clinician who is fluent in Spanish and who has expertise in CBT, DBT and trauma-informed care.
The Phillips Academy is a state certified non-public school, serving approximately 75 students (middle school and high school), who have been referred by the school districts, because of their special needs. These include students with emotional disturbance, specific learning disabilities, high functioning students with autism spectrum disorder, and students with mild developmental delays. We have an excellent and diverse staff; a supportive, embracing, and flexible school community; and a very unique and engaging group of students. Our students make considerable gains, which makes the work particularly rewarding. The school has been serving students in special education from approximately 18 Bay Area districts for over 45 years.
If interested in making a difference and working with a dynamic team of colleagues, please respond to Dr. Esther Cohen. The person in this position would be joining a clinical team of 4 therapists, one of whom serves as program manager for the Mental Health Program, a clinical psychologist, a crisis prevention counselor, and a mental health rehabilitation specialist. The position will begin July 26, 2016.
We offer a competitive salary based on experience and excellent benefits; more information about our program can be found on our website at www.thephillipsacademy.org.
The Phillips Academy is a non-profit organization and an equal opportunity employer. Candidates of color are encouraged to apply.
