Good Shepherd Lutheran Elementary School is seeking a part-time Instructional Aide II for the 2022-2023 school year. Under limited supervision, this position is to assist in the instruction of students; report results to the instructor, and modify instructional efforts on the basis of directions given by the teacher. The mission of GSLS is to offer an enriched educational environment with academic excellence in a nurturing Christian environment. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of working with children individually or in small groups. We are looking for a professional assistant teacher who will collaborate with the teacher to plan and implement dynamic instruction in the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The candidate should possess the skills and passion necessary to inspire learning and enhance the overall educational experience by fostering students’ academic, ethical, social, and emotional development (Toolbox program) in accordance with our mission, philosophy, and core values. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have a high school diploma; experience assisting in teaching elementary school. The successful applicant will possess excellent speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills; demonstrate innovative classroom management; be computer literate; have an abiding interest in helping students to experience academic and social growth; be successful in working with and leading teams; be a strong collaborator, be willing to contribute to school activities outside of the assigned classroom; and genuinely love to work with children and educators at the elementary level in a Christian school setting.
