Cold Spring Elementary School District is seeking a Director of Fiscal Services (DFS). The DFS works under the direction of the Chief Business Official (CBO)in support of the Superintendent/Principal and works closely with the Santa Barbara County Education Office (SBCEO) financial advisors. The DFS provides hands-on technical expertise and assumes responsibility in preparing payroll, accounts payable (commercial warrants) and monitoring accounts receivable (District revenue receipts) to include all types and for all Funds The DFS maintains complete, accurate files and documentation for auditing purposes and monitors tasks to meet all required timelines. Duties include deposits, budget preparation, closing processes, interim and annual financial reporting and audit support. The DFS maintains grant and donation records and performs related duties as assigned. Applicants must have an associate's degree in business management or related field and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in providing business function technical skills for a California public school business operation. SBCEO financial software packages using the HP 3000 experience and ESCAPE software training and/or experience are desirable. Salary range is  $65,420 - $101,488.
