The Position:

Applications are currently being accepted for Business Office Support Supervisor in the Business Office, located at Miramar College. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs. Expected start date is November 13, 2023.

1. Experience supervising a department or function. Plan, train, evaluate and provide work direction to employees.2. Experience administering payroll and personnel functions in an education or similar setting.3. Experience in the employee recruiting process, from initial need of a position through hiring.4. Experience organizing workload and adhering to tight deadlines.5. Experience interpreting and implementing labor or employment contracts, policies and/or procedures.6. Demonstrated effective oral and written communication.7. Experience working with confidential information.8. Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and classified professionals.

Range 9 ($5,224.07-$8,721.81) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Employees’ Association – Salary Schedule A
Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the SPAA – Supervisory & Professional Administrators Association Handbook. This position is FLSA Exempt and may not accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
