Support the development and implementation of the VUSD’s DLI Guiding Principles for VUSD
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Credential: English Learner authorization (ie: BCLAD; CLAD or equivalent) Minimum of 5 years teaching experience required Multiple grade level experience required GLAD or DLI Experience (Minimum of 3 years)

Support the development and implementation of the VUSD’s DLI Guiding Principles for VUSD
Support with strengthening and expanding DLI programs in Vista Unified
Coordinate visits to DLI programs in surrounding areas for teachers and administrators to observe the implementation and gain knowledge to use in our own programs
Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities for DLI staff and admin, including but not limited to target language acquisition, guiding principles of dual language, and cross-linguistic transfer
Collaborate with GLAD and DLI TOSAs to provide a systematic and coherent implementation of GLAD pedagogy of language acquisition across TK-12 in DLI classrooms
Support in the annual evaluation process of the DLI program using the DLI Guiding Principles rubrics
Analyze data corresponding to students in DLI, both in the area of academics and language development and support MTSS in DLI
Collaborate with SDCOE and state organizations to refine practices towards DLI
Facilitate DLI information sessions in the VUSD community
Hold regular meetings with DLI site administrators
Support the DLI teacher recruitment process for VUSD schools
Develop and support with the implementation of DLI parent engagement opportunities
Provide coaching and modeling of lessons during the instructional day
Report to the Multilingual Director and Executive Director Pre-K-12 on the implementation of Dual Language Immersion in VUSD
