Job Summary
Capitol Collegiate Foundational Literacy teachers work as key members on Capitol Collegiate’s lower elementary (K-2) team providing small group, data-driven, direct foundational skills instruction to a specific grade-level (kindergarten, first or second grade). Foundational Literacy teachers also plan and execute small group intervention for struggling emerging readers and play a critical role in supporting student climate for their grade-level. Foundational Literacy teachers, and all CCA teachers, commit to the unique aspects of our instructional model that support teacher efficacy and tenure over time, and lead to excellent outcomes for students. These include our schoolwide routines, procedures, management systems as well as our school adopted core curricula, assessments, and master bell schedule.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and must hold or be in pursuit of a Multiple Subject California teaching credential
