Job Summary
District Office Secretary Position is in a one of the Divisions within Educational Services Department. Perform secretarial and clerical duties, including typing correspondence, mail, answering phones and assisting with incoming departmental requests, scheduling, etc. Must have the ability to use modern office equipment, including computer and software. List software in which you are proficient on resume. Proficiency in the following software programs a plus: Microsoft Office and AERIES Student Information Software. Successful candidate will handle multiple priorities, including, but not limited to handling confidential information, interpreting and applying Ed Code and other applicable codes, laws, regulations and bargaining unit agreement language, interaction with all levels of the organization including staff, administrators and other stakeholders.
Requirements / Qualifications
Under general supervision, to independently perform complex and responsible secretarial and clerical functions; to relieve management personnel of clerical and administrative detail by coordinating, organizing, and participating in the various operational aspects of the assignment; and to do other related work as required. Qualifications include 12th grade/equivalent, including or supplemented by course work or training in business office management, organization, planning or related technical skill areas. Must pass District secretarial exam and typing test at 60 wpm (net corrected). .
