POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Behavioral Health Therapist (LMFT/LPCC/LCSW) is done for the purpose(s) of providing therapeutic behavioral and mental health services to students and families, conducting individual and group counseling for students, administering screeners, managing crisis intervention and response, linking to community resources, and providing consultation to school staff to support the behavioral health goals of the student, school, and district. This position is designated as a classified management position and is part of the management leadership team. This is a grant-based position. Employment in this position is subject to the availability of grant funding. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of successful experience working with adolescents in a private setting, school setting, county, or other community-based organization providing direct behavioral and/or mental health services REQUIRED EDUCATION: A Master's degree in psychology, mental health, counseling, social work, or a related field is required. CERTIFICATES/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES -Valid California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiner License either as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. -Completion of or ability to complete, within sixty (60) days of hire, the appropriate clinical supervision course of supervising an AMFT, ACSW, APCC, MFTT, PCCT, or MSW Intern as specified by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. -Requires use of personal automobile and possession of a valid California Driver's License. Must maintain possession of such license during the course of employment; have an acceptable driving record, and must be insurable at standard rates by the district's insurance carrier and maintain such insurability.
