Under the supervision of the Administrator of Educational Services, instruct high school students on the basic principles of medical science and the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the healthcare field. The focus is on the ethical and legal responsibilities of the health care worker, safety, medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, body systems and mechanics, standard precautions, and health and fitness. Students explore career opportunities in healthcare while gaining practical, hands-on experience in vital signs, first aid, and CPR, emphasizing medical assisting, emergency response, and nursing skills.
