Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Administrator, Educational Services instruct high school students on the introductory, intermediate, and advanced skills necessary for a career in the construction industry. The teacher will expand and enhance the program using technology, industry field trips, coordination of guest speakers, active participation in student competitions, and continued student recruitment in the Construction Pathway. The Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA 1-4) curriculum will be used to instruct the skills necessary for a career in the construction industry. The BITA curriculum is a recognized elective program by the University of California

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(3) years of related work experience or (1) year of related work experience and 48 semester hours of related postsecondary vocational training
Possess or be eligible for a Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential
Note: Teaching Credential: The successful candidate must qualify for or possess a valid Three-Year Preliminary or Five-Year Clear Designated Subjects Career Technical Education
Credential, including English Second Language Certification. Coastline ROP will assist you in starting the credentialing process. Detailed information for obtaining a Designated Subject
