Job Summary

The person in this position works with a great deal of independence and initiative by performing difficult clerical and secretarial work to relieve the Principal of clerical and routine administrative support work. Primary responsibilities of the position are to: • Manage a school office in close collaboration with the school principal; • Assist the school principal with matters requiring the knowledge of district and/or site policies and procedures; and be able to apply said policies/procedures with diplomacy, friendliness, and poise. • Operate a computer with various software programs; type and input complex data such as student attendance and other related student records which require a high degree of accuracy; • Coordinate and organize school office activities and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; • Prepare, compile and maintain various reports related to school programs such as budgetary and financial records; • Ability to speak, read and write in a designated second language (Spanish) may be required; • Provide support and back-up in all areas of the school office as assigned.

LICENSE REQUIRED: Possession of a current First Aide Certificate may be required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: - District Policies and procedures; - Modern office methods and practices, filing systems, receptionist and telephone techniques, business forms, letter and report writings proofreading, office equipment, record keeping procedures and word processing techniques; - English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation; - Basic public relations techniques; - Basic arithmetic; - Basic principles of supervision and training; - Basic principles and techniques of first aid; - Appropriate safety precautions and procedures

          The written test will be given Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 9:00 am or 2:00 pm (picture ID required). Late arrivals will not be admitted for testing. No cell phones, no calculator.
