Job Summary
The High School Assistant Principal works with the site Principal in a grades 9-12 educational setting. He/she will be responsible for assisting in the student services, discipline, attendance and school security programs; school site operations including extra-curricular areas; and personal qualities essential to a highly visible position in the District. The person we are seeking must be a visionary and a natural, effective leader. The successful candidate will have a solid academic background with the ability and desire to prepare students who are ‘second to none.’ The individual selected shall have a proven record of being student-centered, possess recognized skills and abilities in school leadership with an inclusive management style, and hold a personal reputation for honesty and integrity. The District desires a team player who will have the ability to engender trust by students, staff, and the community
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Credential(s): 1. Valid California Administrative Services Credential (or eligible) 2. Valid California Teaching Credential Education: 1. Master’s Degree (or in process) Experience: 1. Minimum five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience 2. Previous administrative experience preferred, but not required Documents Required: 1. Letter of Intent giving reasons for being interested in the Assistant Principal position, outlining specifically your qualifications. 2. Resume 3. Three (3) Letters of Recommendation, one (1) must be from a current supervisor (must be signed and dated within one (1) year)
