Northern Summit Academy-Shasta (NSA) is a WASC-accredited, TK-12 non-classroom-based (truly Flex-Based Instruction), Personalized Learning Public Charter School. We are authorized by the Shasta County Office of Education and located in Anderson, CA. Our school serves students who reside in Shasta County and its contiguous counties. Students are provided their standards-aligned education through independent study, resource center classes, concurrent enrollment at the colleges, or any combination that is best for the student. Northern Summit Academy-Shasta (NSA) is searching for a qualified Culinary Arts Teacher who can also manage our school meal program. Acceptable qualifications include culinary arts education and experience, school meal management experience, and CA Designated Subjects Credential(s). The successful candidate will be involved in building the Culinary Arts Program, teaching introductory cooking classes, collaborating on grant writing projects, and leading cooking projects for fundraising and school events. The school offers ongoing professional development and support to staff who are new or experienced in the non-classroom-based (Flex-Based Instruction) program. This position requires excellent time management, communication skills, and timely and accurate paperwork.
