An Academy Teacher (6-12) will be responsible for implementing the essential duties within a particular classroom based upon the academy program.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires a current CA Single Subject teaching credential authorizing for the following sciences: Biology AND Earth/Physical Sciences OR a Multiple Subjects teaching credential. If you do not currently hold an appropriate California credential at the time of your application, your application will not be considered.
In addition to a resume and letter of introduction, we require three letters of recommendation, a current negative TB test, current CPR certification, and copies of all college transcripts to be uploaded at the time of application. Applications received without all required documents will not be considered. Please see details for each document type for more information.

JCS-Pine Valley is currently seeking a full time 100% FTE Academy Teacher/Science to support our Middle/High school students for the 2023-2024 school year. This position requires a Single Subjects Teaching credential in both Life AND Physical Science. JCS Pine Valley has small class sizes (less than 15 students) and is able to provide a flexible schedule with possible work from home days. We may also be able to accommodate a 50% FTE option for the right candidate.
JCS Pine Valley is a TK-12 public charter school sponsored by MEUSD. We have both a home study program and an academy program. TK-12 home study families meet regularly with a credentialed teachers to go over assignments and curriculum. Academy students attend classes 2 days per week and have assignments to complete at home the other days of the week.
