Applications due by May 12, 2023 Ocean Charter School (OCS) is an independent charter school authorized by the Los Angeles Unified School District that serves over 560 students in TK – 8th grade. OCS uses the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education to teach common core standards in a public school setting. OCS is now accepting applications for the Assistant Director position for the 2023-2024 school year. OCS welcomes applications from educators with charter school experience who are committed to public Waldorf Education. We are particularly interested in well-rounded candidates with the skills and flexibility to support OCS in the following areas: Educational Program, Finance, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion/Belonging, Personnel, Evaluation, Compliance, Operations, Outreach and Enrollment, and Communication and Networking. Requirements / Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 1) Waldorf certification, 2) At least 5 years public school teaching experience, 3) administrative experience, 4) mentoring experience, 5) evaluation experience, 6) staff management experience, 7) strong written and verbal communication, 8) training and commitment to equity/social justice, 9) and generally well-rounded, highly organized, mature, able to reserve judgement, and professional in presentation/demeanor/language/interactions with others.
